On 11 June 2026 some members had very productive meetings at Stormont with the Health Minister Mike Nesbitt and Chair of the Health Committee Philip McGuigan. There was a very positive response to the issues raised – GP education, parity of provision across all health boards (e.g. 24-hour helpline), early diagnosis and increased access to clinical trials. We were told that GP guidelines are being updated in relation to haematological conditions, with a specific mention of myeloma. It was a very encouraging day.
