Myeloma Forward
Myeloma Forward is a new body launched in March 2026 as a voice to increase awareness and improving outcomes for Myeloma Patients in Northern Ireland.

It arose from discussions among a group of patients and family members affected by myeloma who wanted to be proactive in increasing awareness and improving outcomes.

Our Aims
To improve the lives and treatment experience of people in Northern Ireland affected by myeloma by:
  • Promoting awareness and early diagnosis;
  • Preventing avoidable delays and inequalities in care;
  • Providing advocacy, education and community support for patients, families and supporters.
Our symbol
The Blood Lily was chosen as our symbol because:
  • With its fiery red colour it represents, in the language of flowers, vitality, inner strength and resilience;
  • Its striking large head, formed by a cluster of small florets represents connection and the community of a support group
  • It blooms despite adversity which is both the vision and hopefully the reality for patients;
